A couple of general media press articles covering the Kaikoura earthquake and the world record peak ground accelerations recorded by a CSI CUSP-3C

Both articles provide a very interesting insight into the complex nature of this quake, and the world record peak ground acceleration recorded by the CSI CUPS-3C instrument at GeoNet station WTMC.

[The NZ Herald](http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11835085)

[Stuff.co.nz](http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/91385289/kaikoura-quake-records-strongest-ground-shaking-in-nz-history)

Also a very interesting video, which shows very clearly the phenomenon of directivity.
